Anubias nana 'Petite' is a miniature variety of the popular Anubias plant, often referred to as 'Bonsai' due to its tiny leaves and compact growth. It is a favorite for aquascapers looking to add fine detail to their tanks.
This plant is very easy to maintain and slow-growing. It is essential not to bury the rhizome (the thick horizontal stem) in the substrate, as this will cause the plant to rot.
Thrives in low to medium lighting. Excessive light can lead to green spot algae forming on the slow-growing leaves.
Ideal for attaching to driftwood or rocks using thread or aquarium glue. It can also be used in the foreground if the roots are tucked into the substrate while keeping the rhizome exposed.
Easily propagated by dividing the rhizome into smaller sections, ensuring each piece has a few leaves and roots.
